July Travel: Exploring 5 States Out West
WHAT A SUMMER IT HAS BEEN SO FAR! I have to say… I am exhausted… yet SO full of joy and love. I had the pleasure of spending the last month traveling around the country and visiting some of my favorite people.
I started out spending the first week of July with my parents up in North Carolina where we got to explore Lake Norman by boat and hike through Grandfather Mountain.
From there I flew to Denver, CO and met up with some of my closest college friends (if you are ever in Denver you HAVE to go to Mister Oso… trust me). We then picked up a 12 person van and embarked on a road trip through Utah exploring 3 national parks and ended up in Las Vegas for a couple nights of fun, dancing, and losing money to slot machines.
Next up was Seattle, WA where I got to see a close friend marry the love of her life and meet two sweet children who have made some of my closest friends moms. I was also lucky enough to explore Mount Rainier National Park.
Finally I ended the trip in my home state, California. I got to stay with my childhood best friend in San Francisco and help her celebrate her birthday and catch up after a couple of challenging yet rewarding years.
I am SO lucky to be surrounded by the support I have and to see the beautiful places I have gotten to explore. With all of that being said though, I am excited to be back in Charleston with my favorite doggos and relax before getting back into photography and teaching :)
